Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart

My reasons to be cheerful this week are simple ones, because - especially in the current climate - I love a bargain and I am always pleased when I manage to save myself some money, and also when something I have bought is well received, and so is money well spent!

1. I have bought all of my Easter eggs & treats for the grand total of just £20, plus £3.50 delivery. While I am a loyal ASDA customer, I came across a deal at TESCO that I simply could not pass up. The delivery driver thought it was particularly amusing that I had two baskets of eggs and chocolate and nothing else. I bought 18 Easter eggs (which was the maximum per customer) on Buy 1 get 2 Free, six chocolate lollies (which were 2 for £1) and six chocolate bunnies (3 for £1), enough for the kids Easter baskets (their baskets from last year are pictured below) and to have some left over for my nieces and nephews!

2. Another bargain buy, I have kitted out all three of my boys for the Spring/Summer courtesy of H&M for only £95 using their well timed sale alongside two promo codes and taking advantage of their bargain offers on shorts & t-shirts (such as two pairs of shorts for £1.99 each, originally priced at £4.99 for example). I am a huge H&M fan and love their clothes for children. I bought several pretty dresses, leggings, shoes and t-shirts for Erica recently for only £25, and Alicia chose a lovely summer dress and a belt to match, a pair of jeans and three make up brushes for only £15. The clothes look lovely in addition to wearing well, and at such great prices you can't go wrong (especially when you have as many kids as I do...!).

3. Joshua enjoyed his birthday trip to Wembley on Wednesday, he and a friend went with Mr Owl to watch the England vs Holland match. They had a great time even though England narrowly missed out on a draw at the end, he is already asking when he can go again!

  4. I love a bargain so I'll give you 2 #TAGS for the price of one! I wish I could get my kids clothed that cheaply here in Canada! Clothes cost a bloody arm and a leg!

    1. Thanks! It certainly is less of a strain on the old purse strings if you can find a bargain like that isn't it :)
