We used up the overripe bananas that were languishing in the fruit bowl and made some delicious banana ice creams, whizzing up some double cream with the bananas in our blender and adding a little splodge of chocolate sauce in to the mould for a chocolate tip. Lovely!
Our Friday night dessert was some home-made chocolate oreo cookies. Chocolate cupcakes, topped with chocolate buttercream and half an oreo, and sprinkled with crushed oreo! Needless to say they lasted all of five minutes with my lot. I managed to save one for my sister but the rest didn't touch the sides.
And finally today's creation is a tie-dye cake, as requested by Harrison. Plain vanilla flavour, but coloured with red, green, yellow and blue and swirled together. We topped it with plain vanilla buttercream, and some crushed oreos. You may have noticed that we have been oreo-centric in our recipes this week, well we had a few packets I picked up on offer recently and we thought we would use them up in some fun ways!
Ooh all three look yummy! Ali has gotten the whole baking cakes bug lately so now my house is full of cakes lol not that Emma and holly mind ;)
