Mama OWL Blog: Sticky Chicken [#Recipe]

Sticky Chicken [#Recipe]

Tuesday, 10 April 2012

I found this recipe on the Slimming World website and it looked delicious, so I simply had to try it. We're having it for dinner tonight, I have the chicken sitting in the sauce in the fridge ready to cook it this evening. I'm serving it with a big salad, and also with some mashed potato for the children.

Serves 4
Ready in about 1 hour
Syns per serving: EE - 2, Red - 2, Green - 5*
(*Add 6 syns per serving if not using chicken as a healthy extra)

3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp soy sauce
680g chicken breasts, diced

1. Mix together the honey, vinegar and soy sauce. Toss the chicken cubes in the mix to coat thoroughly, and leave to stand for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.

2. Heat a frying pan, add the chicken cubes and marinade. Cook on a high heat for about 20 minutes, until all the liquid has absorbed in to the chicken. Stir regularly to prevent burning.

3. When the chicken is thoroughly cooked, serve immediately on a bed of crispy salad.

And the finished result...

And it was absolutely DELICIOUS! A big thumbs up from us! Quick, easy and very tasty.
