1. Logan got to experience his first residential school trip and stayed away from home from Monday-Wednesday this week. I've naturally been anxious about how things would go but the school were well prepared and he had been made aware of how things were going to be and what he would be doing each day etc. so we packed his bags and off he went! He had a fantastic time and was as good as gold, he really enjoyed it but missed us all bunches and is pleased to be home.
2. My family all got together for our annual Father's Day barbecue yesterday, belated as my Dad was working away last weekend. We have lucked out with the weather every year and ended up moving it from the weekend to yesterday to guarantee the good weather. We had a lovely family afternoon celebrating Father's Day, and remembering our Grampy who passed away a year ago on June 25th.
3. We had a lovely Father's Day last weekend. The kids treated their dad to a fully stocked beer fridge which has taken pride of place on the worktop in the utility room, just in time for the Euros, and made him some cards. He had a cooked breakfast in bed with a coffee and the morning paper, served to him by the kids, and we enjoyed a lazy afternoon watching movies and having our weekly roast. It was just perfect!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE that beer fridge!!! How perfect is that for a Fathers Day gift!! I'd not mind a fully stocked one myself - well, once the wee one is born and fully weaned that is *laughs* ... Oh, how I miss beer.

ReplyDeleteThank you very much for all of your comments (for some reason it doesn't let me reply individually to anyone?!). He was very impressed with his present, unfortunately after a week of football & a visit from his brother for one of the matches the fridge now needs restocking already!
