ONE DAY - David Nicholls

What can I say about this book that isn't written all over the cover... Witty, clever, absorbing, moving... Just fantastic. I absolutely adored this book from start to finish and at the end I was moved to tears and left feeling like I had lived their lives with them every step of the way.

Following a man and a woman and their friendship spanning twenty years, this story is a wonderful and clever tale of friendship, loyalty and true love. As heart wrenching as it is heart warming with real laugh-out-loud moments, it is just utterly, utterly brilliant.

Absolutely outstanding, a first-class read. If you only read one book this year, make it this one.

  1. Did you know how it was going to end before you read it? I read it about 18 months ago before the film, so I had no idea. The end just floored me, I was a wreck! :( Great book.

  2. Unfortunately I saw the film first, which i swear I will never do and wish that I hadn't. The end of the film 'floored' me too! I bet the book was better. Am going to start doing my own book reviews, I read a couple of fantastic ones whilst on holiday - probably the only time I ever truly take a book in!

  3. I didn't know how it was going to end, no! I was so sad! I haven't seen the movie yet either, I do want to give it a watch now though. I have yet to see a movie do a book justice unfortunately, maybe 'one day'... (chortle) x

  4. Hi Mama Owl, fount you over at BYOB. Great blog, I have followed you on Google and Twitter. Jade - Unique Mummy Blog ( x
