Mama OWL Blog: #R2BC - A reason to be grateful.

#R2BC - A reason to be grateful.

Thursday, 20 December 2012

This week, I am grateful that the only thing that I am planning is the final details for our family Christmas, and not a child's funeral.

Following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, USA almost a week ago, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of all of the victims across the Atlantic. I cannot even begin to fathom your grief or find the words to express my sorrow for what has happened. I have been thinking of you all, and my children and I have been lighting candles in the memory of your loved ones. We have never met you, but we have been touched by your devastating loss. Please know that you are in our thoughts.

May they rest in peace. Sleep tight.

  3. Every time I read a little more about it, the devastation hits again. Just heartbreaking. I read a wonderful poem earlier in the week about these children's journey to heaven....a slice of hope.

  6. I am the same, every time I think of it or hear more on the news I am choked. It makes my heart ache for their families, I can't even begin to understand the depth of their grief. I have squeezed my babies tight every day since it happened, it seems too terrible to be true. May they rest in peace x
