This is the 'freezer diving' edition of Meal Plan Monday. The Mister and I went through the cupboards and freezer and have found that we can make an entire week's worth of meals with things that we have here already... So, to save some money and to free up space ready for Christmas, this is what we have come up with using what we have -
Monday 3rd December - Cheesy pasta with garlic baguettes
Tuesday 4th December - Chicken & chips
Wednesday 5th December - Brinner* with hash browns & french toast
Thursday 6th December - Sweet potato mash, sausages & vegetables
Friday 7th December - Fajitas
Saturday 8th December - Fish & chips served with peas
Sunday 9th December - Roast chicken
- In terms of food (so minus the loo roll & a few toiletries, and the delivery charge) my shopping was more than £70 LESS this week than it was last week. Freezer diving FTW! -
I've joined in with Mrs M's #mealplanningmonday linky with this post

Fabulous!! my average monthly shop has almost halved since I started meal planning! with very little waste x
ReplyDeleteWow well done on putting this menu together by using things you already had.
ReplyDeleteI think I need to have a cupboard and freezer meal plan week, our cupboard is stuffed full of tins and pasta/rice so I'm sure I can knock at least several meals up! Love the sound of cheesy pasta with the garlic baguettes.
ReplyDeletei like the Brinner idea... a lot. fry up or pancakes would make a good dinner. i love it when i find i can actually eek out what's in the freezer and cupboards to last a whole week. we're on a pre-christmas emptying the freezer and money-saving drive too. B
ReplyDeleteSounds like some great meals using what you have already got at home! I'll pop by Sunday for the roast ;) x
ReplyDeleteCheesy pasta and garlic bread - YUM! Comfort food at its best :)
