#R2BC - Reasons to be Cheerful... 1, 2, 3

Well the festive season is over, I hope none of you are suffering with the post-Christmas blues though there is always a bit of a comedown after the celebrations are finished (not the sweets... however, those too). Happy new year everyone!

We're still off school at the moment, not back until January 8th so we are still in a little bubble and enjoying lazy days. We really need to get back into a routine though otherwise it will be a rude awakening next week when it's time to get up for school.

1. As the Mister treated me to a new Kobo for Christmas, I treated myself to a handmade cover for it to keep it safe. It arrived this morning and I am in LOVE with it! It is so pretty and beautifully made, very high quality. I bought it from Mel's Enchanting Creations on Facebook, she has so many gorgeous fabrics & products (tablet/phone/kindle/eReader covers, coin purses, bags, memory owls etc) and loves owls as much as I do! I'll definitely be buying from her again.

2. New Year's Eve was spent with the Mister's side of the family and we all had a really lovely time. It's been a while since we have all gotten together and it was great to enjoy some drinks & nibbles and have all of our kids (all 13 of them) playing together. L got a bit tired & overwhelmed so we didn't make it to midnight but we got home in time to watch Big Ben chime in the new year and watch the fireworks on television. It was a really good night, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

3. The Mister has been cracking on with the decorating and last weekend while the boys were away (L & H went to watch Walking with Dinosaurs with B&SIL in London as their Christmas present and J was at a friend's house) he wallpapered their feature wall and repainted everywhere else, and we rearranged the furniture to create some more floorspace. It's nearly finished, as soon as it is done I will share some pictures but it is looking great and I am really pleased with it.

What are your reasons to be cheerful this week? Why not link up with linky host & creator Michelle and share them!

It always feel so good when you get some decorating accomplished, doesn't it? Even doing a little can make a huge difference :)
We're also still off preschool, but Little O starts back on Monday and it will be so good for him to get back into some structure - unfortunately all our good routines went out the window this Christmas!
