It has been chilly but glorious on occasions this week, so E and I grabbed her balance bike & a bag of bread and ventured down town to the country park and to feed the ducks!
E took great delight in zipping along on her bike and is quickly getting the hang of balancing on it, we stopped off in the playground and she went on the swings and ran around as fast as her little legs would carry her through the mud and puddles. We wandered down by the bridge and she broke up slices of bread and threw them for the ducks (and the massive swan that made me rather nervous!) and all in all we had a really lovely morning together.
It was pretty chilly and E was shattered by the time we left to make our way home, so we jumped on the bus for a ride up the hill and then spent the afternoon snuggled under a blanket having our lunch and getting warmed up again. Days like that make me long for the Springtime!

Sounds like a fabulous and spontaneous day. I too am longing for warmer weather but it doesn't look like we are going to get it any time soon.
ReplyDeleteI guess we will all be glad when it is spring time but you CAN'T stay in with youngsters, can you. Seems like E loved the bike ride anyway.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect Mummy and daughter day. So nice to be able to spend a little time outdoors together and it sounds like you packed lots in too. Those balance bikes are great, I wish they had been around when mine were tiny. Thank you for sharing your lovely day on Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteWow great photos. I'm buying my wee man a balance bike for his 2nd birthday and can't wait to see how we get. Will definitely add a different dimension to our park trips!
