Family Movie Review - Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

Friday, 22 February 2013

Last but not least for our family movie recommendations today we have Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012).

I had actually forgotten that I pre-ordered this so I was quite pleased when it dropped through the letterbox and took away the question of what movie we were watching that night! A & J had already watched this in 3D at the cinema but they were keen to watch it again, they had enjoyed it that much.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted follows our friends Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo (along with King Julien, Maurice, Mort, the monkeys and of course the penguins) as they make their way across Europe in another madcap adventure that they hope will take them back home to Central Park Zoo in New York City.

Featuring the original voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer and Andy Richter, it also includes the talents of Jessica Chastain, Frances McDormand and Martin Short, who is the voice of brilliant new character, performing Italian sealion Stefano.

Their story continues as they join a travelling circus in a bid to cross Europe without being noticed, with the French Captain of Animal Control in hot pursuit.

This movie is hilarious, with beautiful colourful animation & fun songs, and the new characters are fantastic, I just wish I had made it to the cinema to see it in 3D myself because I bet it would have been amazing. I think this is definitely the best Madagascar movie to date, and we all really loved it. Thoroughly entertaining and well worth a watch, you'll be singing Afro Circus forever more.
