They pulled on their gloves and warm clothes (because it was FREEZING out last Saturday) and kitted up ready for a couple of hours on the slopes.
A of course did a bit of showing off having had more practice than the others taking part in the session, and J bless his heart did his best but spent quite a lot of time falling over (same as I would have!).
They both really enjoyed it (and I know that A would love to go on the ski trip again) but it appears that J has been put right off going skiing in the mountains now, maybe he might change his mind in time for 2015... Or maybe he's his Mother's son & would prefer to watch the action from in front of a roaring fire with a mug of hot chocolate!

This is such a great day out. I remember doing it a couple of years ago with all of mine before the eldest went on a ski trip with school. They had so much fun and it is great exercise too. I bet they will want to go again. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI've only been skiing once in my life and that was when I was about 14! Looks like you had a fun day and always lovely when your days ends with a Hot Chocolate and a roaring fire :)
ReplyDeleteYes they really enjoyed it, we hope to go again so that the others can have a go on the ringos and swiss bobs, but will wait for some warmer weather! x
ReplyDeleteI have never been skiing, my husband is a big fan and has been a couple of times in Austria & Italy with his friends, he is keen to go again! I might make him take one or two of the kids next time too ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day out! I've only ever been skiing a couple of times and last time I went I broke my arm....so that's the end of me and skiing! I'd really love for my son to go though and learn from a young age - so much less fear and less likely to get hurt then!
ReplyDeleteThank you, it was only £30 for the two of them so it was very reasonable too. Yes that sounds like something that I would do!
ReplyDeleteSkiing is great fun. My hubby is a huge fan and is hoping to get our wee man interested as soon as possible! The actually mountains are a lot different than the dry slopes so hopefully J will be reignited by the idea!
ReplyDeleteYes that is what A said, she was telling J that it is much easier/better on real snow so maybe he will give it another chance! Thank you for commenting x
ReplyDeleteHave to admit that I've never been skiing, but hubby likes it, so we must get the boys out sometime... Next year! Looks like a great day out :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! X
DeleteI'm same as you skiing never appealed but hot chocolate does. I have done snow boarding which is loads of fun
ReplyDeleteLooks fun and tiring! We keep meaning to go dry slope skiing (hubby is the only one that has ever been skiing), just have a feeling I would spend more time on my bum than actually skiing! x
ReplyDeleteLooks like great fun. I've never skied and watched with envy as my school friends went on a skiing holiday as teenagers :( Maybe one day I'll give it a go?!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try skiing but I have the sense of balance of a watermelon!
