I discussed it with the Mister while we were on holiday, and shit has to change. I don't want to feel like this any more and I think it would be good for him too. So I sat and worked out a meal plan using the websites I have been following and we are doing it together to see if it works for us, and I think it will be so much easier if we both do it.
We're giving it a month, but I do honestly think that it is something we will end up continuing with. It's not a gimmick or a diet, it's just eating real food and cutting out everything else - I mean check out Tara's Honey Dill Drumsticks, who wouldn't want to eat that?! I made those last Monday instead of getting a takeaway and OMG - they were so good. I started this last week as soon as we got back from our weekend break and we'll definitely be having them again, everyone enjoyed them. Anyway, I will let you know how it goes.
Monday 1st April - Steak & eggs with steamed vegetables
Tuesday 2nd April - Honey dill chicken with mixed salad
Wednesday 3rd April - Brinner*
Thursday 4th April - Sausages with vegetable mash
Friday 5th April - Chicken fajitas in lettuce wraps
Saturday 6th April - Cheese & tomato pasta bake (GF/WF)
Sunday 7th April - Whole roasted chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, mixed steamed vegetables, & vegetable mash
I've joined in with Mrs M's #mealplanningmonday linky with this post
*Brinner = Breakfast for dinner, GF/WF = Gluten free, Wheat free

My friends doing similar and not only has she lost weight she has found her mojo and is filled with energy. I've cut out coke which has helped endlessly!

Thank you! Yes exactly, that's what I'm shooting for too. My weigh day isn't until Wednesday but I had a sneak peek this morning & I've lost 6lb already, I also feel loads better in myself :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new eating plan. If it works I might try, although I know I would struggle to give up carbs.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds a lot like the health eating plan I was following when I got pregnant. Unfortunately with the 24/7 sickness I wasn't able to do all the cooking required and didnt eat all that healthy during my 9 months. I have been trying going back but the whole sleep depravation thing makes it really hard. This week im decided to get back on it really hope ill go back to feeling myself. Best of luck to us all

ReplyDeleteDoing fajitas in lettuce wraps sounds like a great idea. Maybe I'll do that and the OH can have normal wraps!
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's just as tasty in lettuce as it is in a wrap, you can load it up with homemade guac! x
