After the success of my #AutumnBucketList (I even created a board on Pinterest to keep track of all of our activities), I decided to create a Christmas Bucket List to keep a running record of all the lovely things we plan to do over the festive period.
As well as fun things for us to do & enjoy together as a family, I really want to give to charities locally too. The Salvation Army in Trowbridge, Wiltshire is accepting donations of (new) toys, games and books for children up to age 16 as well as financial donations.
I'm going to take my kids to choose something each for them to donate, so that they can fully realise for themselves the importance of giving and helping people. We don't have much, but we are much better off than many, I honestly cannot bear the thought of children waking up to nothing on Christmas morning and I hope that this will help someone in some way.
We'll also be making a donation to a local food bank, because frankly nobody should be going hungry in this country in this day and age and if there is anything I can do to help, then I want to do it. I don't think I could sit at our dining table on Christmas Day with a clear conscience knowing that people in my community will be going hungry if I had done nothing at all.
Will you be writing a Christmas Bucket List?
