Last Sunday the weather was glorious. Chilly, but the sun was beating down and two of my boys were in their element out on the fields playing football and training for rugby.
E came along in the afternoon to see J play football, and she played in the trees next to the pitch, collecting leaves and scooting along the paths with H.
At rugby, two minutes silence was observed at 11am and the club had organised a bugler to play 'The Last Post' on the clubhouse balcony while the children all stood together up & down the playing fields, and at football that afternoon the teams held a two minute silence before kick off to honour and remember our war heroes.

H was chosen as captain for tomorrow's rugby match, and J's football team went on to win their match 5-3.
It was beautiful day spent outside in the Autumn sunshine, and absolutely one to remember.

Lovely photos of a sunny autumn day, I love days like that :) I'm also trying to make the most of them before the winter sets in! How lovely that the club organised a bugler.

ReplyDeleteLovely! I love being out for the kids' sport - and good weather is always a bonus. The two minutes' silence at my son's rugby was so moving, although we didn't have a bugler!
ReplyDeleteWell done to both your kiddo's on the sports field! I also love the Autumn light that is much softer to take photos #magicmoments
