It doesn't matter how cold it is outside, looking through the window at Autumn sunshine streaming through brilliantly coloured leaves makes you feel warm and snug.
However - standing out in it and watching football is another matter entirely and I was grateful of the extra layers, hat, coat and wellies I had put on to brave the elements. Moments like these, captured on a local school's playing field (though admittedly it looks a bit like a prison fence... the students may well argue that it is) are what will keep me warm through Winter, memories of warm colours and beautiful crisp sunshine.
I have linked this post with #TheGallery at The Sticky Fingers Blog.
A nice shot. Shame it isn't like this every morning.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and - I'm guessing - a prettier sight than the one on the football pitch below! Although as a mum of boys I'm used to the sight of mud!
ReplyDeleteLovely leafage! I must admit I do think there are some parts of winter that are better appreciated from behind glass! (shiver)
ReplyDeleteIt's just wonderful Autumn isn't it, I love it. Toddler has enjoyed it too :)
ReplyDeleteI love autumn, I'm clinging on to the last of the blue skies at the moment, although the temperature is dropping quite dramatically :) Lovely shot, love the light through the leaves.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty shot, lovely colours on the leaves. I love autumn :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely when you still have that last bit of sunshine and the warm autumn colours to comfort you :)
ReplyDeleteWow!!! It is a lovely shot...Shame the weather can't be as good as that every day!
