A Summer of Achievement | #LoudnProud

The Summer holidays are over (and they have been for a while if you're in Scotland) and the daily routines are slowly returning to normal. Now you've got some time to think, and, er, you can hear yourself do so... what do you have to be loud and proud about?

We (Mum of Three World, 3 Children and It, and Not My Year Off as well as myself) took a break over the Summer as of course we are all busy mums and keeping everyone happy, going off on our travels and taking some time out to enjoy the school holidays was paramount, but we are back with a new badge and looking forward to sharing your proud moments, achievements and accomplishments - big or small - with you.

To recap or for new linkers (hello!), you can find out what #LoudnProud is all about by clicking here, all the information you need and our badge can be found there. The rules are short and sweet, all that we ask of you is that you display our Loud 'n' Proud badge somewhere on your blog, and visit at least 3 of the other blogs linking up. Nice & simple! The linky opens every Thursday at 7am, & closes at midnight on Sunday.

We had a wonderful Summer, full of busy days as well as lazy days, and it was a much needed break for all of us. In all honesty I'm sad to have the kids back at school because I much prefer the laid back days at home when we do what we want, when we want and don't have to rush about on the school run and to endless clubs and activities. At the same time, it was definitely time to get back into our routine and get started on the new school year, & I'm enjoying having some time to myself to get things done too.

E had a brilliant Summer and has achieved so much in just a few short weeks. She completed the 2015 "Record Breakers" Summer Reading Challenge, earning her certificate & medal which she was delighted with and took in to show her new teacher. She made outstanding reading progress in her reception year of school and managed to make it up to level 19 by the end of term so I have been very keen to keep up the momentum during the Summer to prevent a dip in her learning.

E continued her Gymnastics training through the Summer holidays, and completed badge 8. She's now working on badge 7, enjoying her weekly sessions and learning new skills. She always works so hard and really loves gymnastics, it's great to see her making progress at something she enjoys as well as it being great exercise for her.

I'm this week's #LoudnProud host, and we would love to hear all about your special moments and achievements so please do share your posts below. Feel free to grab the badge, we'd love it if you could visit others & share the linky love - thanks!

The linky closes at Midnight on Sunday, & next week will be hosted by the lovely Suzanne at 3 Children and It.

  1. Hi Julie, I've linked a post but I did have trouble doing it - not sure why? I couldn't work out how/where to add the URL! Have you considered trying Linkytools? I find it easier and clearer than the above. Obviously feel free to ignore me otherwise! I'm with you on the kids going back to school - let the madness commence! Sounds like your girls have been doing you really proud :)

  2. The summer holidays are nice, but there is also something nice about getting back to routine, although the empty house feels very strange today!
Very well done to E on her achievements. It's great that the gymnastics classes have carried on over summer. My daughter can't wait to get back to her dancing!

  3. Well done to E on her achievements! Like you I am both a bit sad that Cheeky Chap has gone back to school as well as being pleased to see the return of a routine, we all know where we stand then!

  4. Well done to your little girl, she looks so proud with her gymnastics certificate. Mich x

  5. Well done E. Great achievements. My daughter does the gymnastics proficiency awards and the summer reading challenge too! I bet they'd get on well! x
